Days after falling out of the Rivals.com top 250, Nebraska native Cameron Jurgens had a big evening in Beatrice’s opener against Ralston High School.
Check out his 73-yard touchdown reception below, where he shrugged off two Ralston defenders and spun away from a third before taking it to the house for his first touchdown of the season.
Jurgens was all over the field against Ralston Friday night, playing at tight end, running back, and even some linebacker. After his receiving touchdown, he added a 2-yard rushing touchdown later in the game for his second score of the evening.
We’re not entirely sure why Rivals dropped the talented Jurgens from its ratings. He was recognized for his performance at the St Louis Rivals 3 Stripe camp as an athlete and was then invited to Rivals’ Five-Star challenge.
If Cameron’s performance this evening is an indicator of how his season will go, don’t expect his rankings drop to stick for very long.
