Yesterday, it emerged that top 2019 offensive tackle recruit William Putnam out of Tampa, FL will be checking out the Huskers this weekend on an unofficial visit. This is the big man’s second visit of the year to Lincoln as he was in town last spring checking out the program.
Looking forward to being back in Nebraska Saturday! GBR??

This gives the Huskers the chance to put their best foot forward with one of the top offensive line recruits in the country. Putnam is ranked as the 80th overall recruit in the 247 2019 composite Top 100 rankings.
Nebraska has done a terrific job of recruiting lineman the last 2 years but have yet to land an OT recruit as highly rated as Putnam and are scrambling a bit to find a capable OT in the 2018 class so having a legitimate shot with one of the top candidates in the 2019 class is imperative if the Huskers swing and miss in the 2018 cycle.
