While the 2017 season is about to kick off, the Nebraska coaching staff is keeping an eye on the future as they set up another big visitor for next weekend.
Tight end Ryland Goede from Kennesaw, Ga. has scheduled an unofficial visit for the Huskers’ home opener against Arkansas State. Ryland is a 2019 top 150 recruit and holds 15-plus scholarship offers from the who’s who of college football and is excited to check out the Big Red next weekend.
“I’m just looking forward to meeting the whole staff and experiencing the atmosphere.”
The trip won’t be entirely about football as Ryland will be checking out the program with his sister and father. They also plan on taking in a game featuring the fifth-ranked Nebraska women’s volleyball team while they’re in town,
“She plays volleyball so we are going to catch a volleyball game that weekend as well”
While Ryland has been chatting with assistant coach Tavita Thompson since the spring and has a serious interest in Nebraska, don’t expect Ryland to pull the trigger for the Cornhuskers anytime soon as he’s committed to seeing the process through his junior season.
“I’m going to take my time and probably commit by the end of this year towards next spring. I’m going to keep my options open until I really feel like I’m ready and 100 percent into committing to a certain school”
Stay tuned to HuskerHype.com as we catch up with Ryland after he visits Lincoln next weekend and we bring you the latest in his recruitment.
