Huskers land big transfer from Ole Miss in Breon Dixon

The commitment floodgates have opened after the Huskers hosted a huge weekend visitor list. While the weather was “frosty”, players across the country were feeling the heat the Huskers were selling.

Breon Dixon is the first domino to fall this weekend. The 6’0 218lb versatile defender transfers to Nebraska from Ole Miss and is capable of playing several positions for the Blackshirts. Dixon’s athleticism is something you want from defenders at outside linebacker in the 3-4 as he can easily slip into the nickel slot and cover a wide receiver, drop into zone coverage, or bring the wood when rushing the line of scrimmage.

While Dixon is technically not eligible to play in the 2018 season, there is a good chance that could happen. Former Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson has petitioned the NCAA for a waiver in order to play right away. Should Patterson receive a waiver, Dixon could do the same, making him potentially eligible to play this fall.

While other visitors haven’t announced their commitments to the big red we’re hearing positive things from guys such as offensive lineman Jarrett Bell, running back Miles Jones, and cornerback Braxton Clark.
